Kylie Cosmetics: The Bronze Kyshadow Palette

So it's been a couple of months since I've owned this Kyshadow palette, and I've gone back and forth with it and I have to admit - it's not too bad at all. Sometimes I don't know what to expect from Kylie Jenner's makeup range, but her eyeshadows are pretty good quality and I like have her original 9 Kyshadow palettes in my collection.

As much as I hate to admit it, I feel like I'm slowly feeding into the Kylie Jenner empire and funding her plastic fantastic life. Slowly but surely I'm starting to really enjoy using her makeup products and I do get quite excited when I see her snippets of products that she's working on on her snapchat. The eyeshadow palettes (KyShadow) were a pleasant surprise on how pigmented and blendable they were. I put off buying the KyShadow palettes for a while because they just looked like typical nude palettes that I already had in my collection, but when she brought out the Holiday KyShadow palette, I really fancied the colours and that they were unlike anything I had in my collection. It was love at first sight.

In all honesty, I wasn't super wowed by the Holiday collection but after seeing swatches and the hype, I started to become really drawn to the eyeshadow palette. Unlike my many neutral palettes in my collection, I didn't have one like this. The jeweled-toned colours are all very complimentary to each other, and the fact that they had diamond powder in them made me want the palette more. The lip kit set I wanted to include in my order because I had to spend more than $60 to qualify for free international shipping, and also because I wanted to try out the lip glosses. I wish I had added the mini sets to my order but by the time I realised I wanted it, it went out of stock! 

Urban Decay Vice 4 Palette: Mini Review

Urban Decay are famous for their insane palettes and packaging and the Urban Decay Vice 4 palette is no exception. I have had this for almost a year now and it was gifted from a friend, and it's definitely the most unique palette in my collection. I tend to play it safe with my eyeshadow and it is generally in the neutral zone with browns and blacks, but I am trying to experiment with colour a lot more. The Urban Decay Vice 4 palette is definitely the palette of vibrant colour. 

Charlotte Tilbury Colour Chameleon: Champagne Diamonds + Dark Pearl

Charlotte Tilbury packaging slays me. It's so luxe and beautiful that I don't even want to throw the boxes away. I have had a few bits from Charlotte Tilbury and my favourite product is the Filmstar Bronze and Glow, which I have reviewed here. If I could, I would grab a few more of the lipsticks, eyeshadow quads, and lip liners but for now, I'm enjoying what I have in my collection. These eyeshadow sticks are fun, easy and vibrant to use. 

NYX Haul Part 2 of 4: The Eyes

I didn't go as crazy as I did with lips for the eye products but I decided to be a little more adventurous and strictly get brighter colours for my collection since I am constantly only purchasing neutral brown/nude shades.

Stila Eyes Are The Window Eyeshadow Palette

Stila "Eyes Are The Window" Eyeshadow palette is everything you need to create a day-night look. Not that I needed another neutral eyeshadow palette (I have Urban Decay Naked 1 + 2 palette), I wasn't picking them up to use as much as I should have. I had my eye on the Stila "Kitten" eyeshadow but at £12, and this palette being £30 - I thought I'd get the palette instead.

Oh theBalm. When this finally hit the shelves at Superdrug, I naturally got excited and wanted to try everything. I didn't go crazy and buy everything at once but I slowly made little purchases over time. Out of what is currently available on their website and in-store, I would say there is probably 5 more products I want to add to the collection to try out, but for now I am quite happy with what I have. Currently I own: Mary Lou Manizer, Cindy Lou Manizer, Betty Lou Manizer, Bahama Mama, Schwing, and 3 sexpots overshadows. 

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick Trio & Full Exposure Travel Palette | Mini Review

Smashbox Step-by-Step Contour Stick Trio (£35.00)

These 3 sticks come in the form of contour, bronzer and highlighter, and a handy paper guide to instruct you on how to contour based on your face shop. I particularly like the contour colour as it's quite a cool grey shade, the bronzer is a medium warm brown, and the highlighter is a pale yellow shade. The formula is very creamy and bendable using both a beauty blender sponge and the NARS Ita Kabuki brush. You can definitely get a light contour with these sticks, and build up the colour as you go. I like to set these with a powder contour on top to make sure I get a bold contoured look. The set also comes complete with a pencil sharpener so for £35, it may seem expensive but I'd imagine it'll last a long time.

Smashbox Full Exposure Travel Eyeshadow Palette (£17.50)

Now this palette is something else. I've been lusting after this palette for a very, very long time but from my knowledge, it was only exclusive to Sephora in the USA. I had friends hunting around the world in different cities seeking out Sephora to find it, but it wasn't available. I was randomly looking on the Boots website last week and seen that it was available and immediately went to Boots the next morning to find it and lo and behold, there was a stand with about 10 of these mini eyeshadow palettes. The stand looked like it was full at one point, and the sales lady told me they had been out for 1 week and they were almost gone. I was so happy to get hold of it! The texture of these are reasonably pigmented (not as pigmented as MAC in my opinion) but the colours are beautifully shimmery and mate. It is a handy little palette to travel with - literally, it is the size of a credit card, super thin and compact with a mirror that I know I'll get a lot out of.
