Well of course all I wanted for Christmas was makeup, makeup and more makeup...and makeup is what I got!
The only new brand I hadn't tried from this little haul was Laura Geller and this illuminator product in 'Gilded Honey' is supposedly a dupe for MAC's Whisper of Gilt highlighter so of course I wanted it. I was on the waiting list for a while on Cult Beauty and it just managed to come back in stock just before Christmas and my younger sister gifted this to me.
This mini Smashbox palette was an exclusive online and to some Boots store on Black Friday and I immediately fell in love with it since I have the mini double exposure version. Anything miniature, I have to have it. Since I already have quite a few eyeshadow palettes, I can never justify buying another full palette but mini travel palettes like these make it justifiable...
The shades are a mixture of matte and shimmer, so it's the perfect palette for anyone that perhaps doesn't wear a lot of makeup or likes to do a day and night look with one palette.
Having already been a fan of Charlotte Tilbury's Filmstar Bronze and Glow palette, I was interested in trying out other products from the range. The brand is quite expensive so when they brought out these mini lipsticks, I immediately put them on my wishlist and they are the cutest mini lipsticks. ever. I got the shades Penelope Pink, Bitch Perfect and Marilyn. They're almost too cute to use but I know they'll come in handy for special occasions and the perfect size for clutch bags.
And I've saved the best 'till last (well everything was perfect, but this was unexpected!). I had only just noticed this palette a couple weeks before Christmas and the packaging is phenomenal and the eyeshadow shades are unlike anything I own. All my eyeshadow palettes are nudes and browns, and I told myself if I were to ever get a colourful eyeshadow palette it would be the Urban Decay Vice palettes. Having already being a fan of Urban Decay eyeshadows, I know this palette won't disappoint. This was kindly gifted to me by my boss (and good friend) after I showed her it two days before she gave it to me, so this palette is extra special to me and I am hoping to create some fantastic eye looks in the new year. I am very boring when it comes to my eye look and I tend to only stick to neutrals and browns, so I'm hoping to be inspired with this palette and create some brighter looks in 2016. The palette comes with a protective pouch which feels like good quality and a double ended brush - a flat shader and a fluffy blender.
I am very thankful for all the presents I received this year, and makeup never disappoints me whatsoever. I can't wait to play around with all my new products and start reviewing them in my upcoming posts.
I hope everyone had a lovely Christmas this year and spend it with their loves ones.
Tell me what you got for Christmas, or which one of these you'd like to see a review on first!
